Why?

Our CEO’s own grandfather would go quiet for weeks on end. Living alone, over a hundred miles from the nearest family member, he had no one close by to turn to when his technology let him down. Modern devices aren’t built for people who struggle with them. They’re built for people who are already comfortable, already fluent, already connected.

Every device we tried told the same story. It solved one problem and created three more: a new interface to learn, a new frustration to work around. It always ended the same way, with a plea to family for help.

Friendo was built to close that gap: a voice-native operating system that anyone can use. Because voice is an interface none of us ever had to learn.

Technology that only works for the people who kept up is not neutral, it is exclusion by default. Reaching your bank, your doctor and your own family is not a premium feature: it’s a freedom, and quietly losing it late in life is not something anybody agreed to. We are here to hand it back.
